The problem is not with Messi per say, it is the Argentina squad that are having issue, they possess world class players in attack but lack quality and depth in midfield and in defense.

One thing I've noticed about Messi is that he always makes those around him better by playing one touch with them, but non of his team members understand this about him, he was given the responsibility to do it all.

Also, Messi always sacrifice personal glory for team success, but his team always let him down, if you stop messing from scoring goals, he will simply turn himself to a provider, he has done that a lot for Barcelona, but just look at how many scoring chances his team mates are squandering?

If the problem persists, he might not win anything for his country.
