I have a Samsung WB250F I got it over 3 years ago. It is just a really cheap thing. For your first camera, I would definitely suggest this one. I have been very pleased with it. It has a very good focus, which is important.
Also, what you should get is some kind of photo editor. The pictures I take would look like crap if I didn't edit them. That's the secret. Most of the time I use Photoshop to edit the coloring and contrast. But just to begin and create good work I suggest using the free version of pizap photo editor. Play around with the effects and have fun!
