🍽️ My Delicious Homemade Mughlai Chicken Curry 🥘

Hello Steemit friends!
Today I’m excited to share a mouthwatering experience from my kitchen – Mughlai Chicken Curry – a royal dish full of rich flavors, creamy texture, and a perfect blend of spices.

Mughlai cuisine has its roots in the royal kitchens of the Mughal Empire and is known for its richness, aroma, and use of exotic ingredients like saffron, nuts, and cream. This dish is one of my favorites because it’s both comforting and luxurious.

📝 Ingredients I Used:

500g chicken (bone-in for extra flavor)

2 onions (finely sliced)

1/2 cup yogurt

2 tbsp cashew paste

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp garam masala

1/2 cup cream

2-3 tbsp oil or ghee

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander for garnish

👨‍🍳 How I Made It:

First, I marinated the chicken with yogurt, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.

In a pan, I fried the onions until golden brown, then blended them into a smooth paste.

In the same pan, I added ginger-garlic paste and sautéed it, then added the onion paste and cooked it until oil separated.

Added the marinated chicken and cooked it on medium flame until half done.

Then came the rich part – I added the cashew paste and cream, and let it simmer until the chicken was tender and the gravy thick and flavorful.

Finally, I sprinkled garam masala and garnished it with fresh coriander.

🍛 Serving Suggestion:
It goes perfectly with butter naan or basmati rice. I served it with hot naan and a side of salad. The taste was just amazing – creamy, mildly spicy, and full of flavor.
