Bole: Nigerian delicious meal
Bole, as it is popularly called pronounced as ‘ball-le’ is one of Nigerian’s best served meal for launch. It is a combination of roasted fish, plantain (ripe or unripe), yam and or potatoes, palm oil pepper sauce, sliced onions, and sliced leaf called ‘ortazi leave’. It is loved by most Nigerians, especially the southern (Rivers and Bayelsa state) and eastern part of Nigerian.
How to prepare bole
- Prepare the palm oil pepper sauce and heat for a while.
- Wash and peel the unripe or ripe plantain, yam and or potatoes.
- Wash and cut to remove the inside of the fish preferably mackerel. Mix the fish with blended fresh pepper and little oil.
How to roast
- Set up your barbecue on medium heat and roast slowly at a temperature of about 170 degrees.
- When the barbecue is heated, place the peeled plantain, yam and or potatoes and the fish on the barbecue and start roasting.
- Turn the side from time to time to ensure even roast until you have something like this as shown below.
Once you are through you can serve and enjoy yourself as seen below
