It can get interesting. Some people put crawl fish (aka mud bugs) in theirs lol. It is really good, but I like to keep it more simple with shrimp and sausage.

They look disgusting. However, I tried the tails on them and it actually taste like it is in the crab/lobster family. However, some people twist the heads off and suck the brains out and eat them which I hear is a disgusting texture. I'm not brave enough to try it.
The nickname mudbug comes from the fact that in some fresh water ditches, you can catch these things lol. I've seen it done before. They take a 5 gallon bucket, and scoop up the mud at the bottom of ditch and sort through it to find these critters.

I was coaxed into eating lobster brain without knowing what I was eating - must admit, it tasted pretty good! :)
