Simple & Flavorful: Vietnam-Style Stir-Fried Beef with Bell Peppers

Good afternoon from sunny Da Nang, everyone! How have you been lately?
I’ve been having a pretty exciting week. I was happy and a bit busy playing tour guide for my friends who are visiting Da Nang. You know, it’s a good time to explore this beautiful city. There are many good foods and attractions around. And with so much going on, I’ve been eating out quite a bit, too many meals at restaurants. 😄

And today, I was really craving something homemade and fresh. So I think of a dish that makes me happy all the time: Stir-fried Beef with Bell Peppers.

This dish is not only quick and easy, but also packed with flavor and nutrients. It’s colorful, comforting, and comes together in just a few minutes, perfect for anyone who loves a hearty, healthy meal without too much effort.

Ingredients:

  • Bell peppers
  • Beef
  • Salt, fish sauce, black pepper, oyster sauce, msg(optional)
  • Chopped garlic, spring onion
  • Cooking oil

How to make it:

Step 1: Slice the beef thinly and marinate it with chopped garlic, salt, fish sauce, oyster sauce, msg, and some cooking oil to make the beef tender and keep moisture. Marinate at least 10-15 mins so the flavors can be absorbed and the beef stays tender when cooked.

Step 2: Set the beef aside and clean well the bell peppers and cut them into small cubes

I love using a mix of colors: red, yellow, and orange not just for the beautiful look, but also because each color adds a slightly different taste.

Step 3: Heat the pan, pour some cooking oil and saute the chopped garlic until fragrant. Then add the marinated beef in, stir quickly over high heat until the beef is about 80% cooked. This helps keep it juicy and tender.

Step 4: Quickly toss the chopped bell peppers into the pan and stir everything together for another 1–2 minutes. You want the peppers to stay slightly crisp while soaking in the flavor.

And finish it with some black pepper and spring onion.

Tada, we just made a beautiful and delicious dish.

The beef is so tender , juicy and naturally sweet from the bell pepper, making it an interesting and tasty combination.

It is suitable to eat with white rice or just by itself if you're cutting carbs. What I love most is that it’s not only a less effort and feel-good meal, but also a nutritious, healthy one. Beef provides high-quality protein, and bell peppers are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin E, and other nutrients that are great for your immune system, skin, and eyes. Moreover, for someone like me who can't handle spicy food, bell peppers are the perfect way to add color and flavor without the heat.
