Yogurt Chicken Recipe: Crispy Outside, Juicy Inside

Hello my dear friend! How was your week so far? I hope it has been good to you. For me, it is nice so far, and I can’t wait to write something and share my day with you here in Da Nang, Viet Nam. I love eating yogurt with fruits, and I just found out a recipe that makes me so happy with yogurt. If you like chicken and want to find a new interesting recipe, follow me to discover an incredibly flavorful yogurt chicken recipe by air fryer. Moreover, it’s really simple to make it at home, familiar ingredients that you can find in any shops around Viet Nam or Asean countries.

Ingredients:

  • 400-500gr boneless chicken thigh or the part of chicken that you like
  • Greek yogurt or no sugar yogurt is fine
  • Garlic powder, sweet paprika, black pepper, salt, thyme, olive oil, milk(if like)
    And you need some foil, and of course an air fryer 😀

Are you ready, alright, let’s cook together!

How to make it:

Step 1: Wash the chicken thoroughly using salt, rinse it under water, and let it drain completely. Dry chicken makes crispier chicken.

Step 2: In a big bowl, add your chicken and a big spoon of Greek yogurt. Then, toss in the spices: garlic powder, sweet paprika, salt, black pepper, thyme, and chili flakes if you want some more spicy. Add some milk and a bit of olive oil for extra richness.

Step 3: Mix the chicken well and let it marinate at least 20 mins so all the spices can be absorbed well in the chicken and make it more flavorful and tender.

Step 4: After marinating well, place all the chicken in the fryer, use some foil to put under and set the temperature at 170 degrees and fry it in 15 mins.

After 15 mins, poke a few small holes in the foil so it’s not too wet for the chicken, turn the temperature up to 190 degrees in 5 mins and now see these beautiful chickens. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can just use the pan to pan sear the chicken. But for this recipe, it is more suitable with an air fryer.

Tada, golden, juicy pieces of chicken, crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside.

Now make your own plate with some white rice, delicious chicken and some veggies as you like. This is mine version with some ladyfingers. I can’t wait to taste it.

Ah one more thing: don’t throw away the juice that drips down into the fryer tray, it’s packed with flavor. Pour it over your chicken or rice for extra deliciousness.

I swear, yogurt and chicken are such an amazing combo which is creamy, tangy, comforting, and satisfying in every bite. It is suitable for a quick and delicious meal. I really enjoyed this new recipe and sure will make some for my family once I visit my home.
