RE: Food is free project on going. cooperation proven.

Unbelievably awesome and praiseworthy!! HUGE KUDOS, my friend. I have 5+ acres of farm land here sitting idle, atm, and would love it if people had the interest in such a project in this area. Unfortunately, others have tried. But, no one shows up to help until harvest time, and then many of those expect everything to have been already picked for them!

Shame that, and to be fair I thought I would struggle here, as did my wife, then one by one people just turned up and offered to help, word of mouth and all, and you know the best part, I hardly speak a word of the lingo, though my wife does. And people just love the idea, so it was born just like that.

Are you an area where little food is locally grown, and available for sale? Here there are MANY roadside vegetable stands, and most would rather pay than pick for free. Whether they are too busy, or too lazy, or both... I'm not sure.

no, quite the opposite, there is a lot of food grown here, though most of it goes to feed other countries, the UK is one of them, as for the life of me I can not buy lamb here, or Brussels sprouts, it all goes to the UK, it is a lazy culture, one that needs to be changed.

You can't buy lamb here in the USA either, unless you go to a specialty shop and pay over $10 per pound for it--if you can find it at all.
