WEEKEND GAMES RECAP

This is one of the weekends where the unexpected didn't happen. The best teams won after all. The top teams actually. Let's start with the English Premier League; Arsenal winning Chelsea isn't a surprise. They played well and won; not with a goal difference - with two goal difference. Unai Emery played a 4-4-2 formation with Lacazette and Aubumeyang as forwards. It actually made Arsenal great in attack. Sarri still looked confused; his 4-3-3 formation with Hazard as the striker hasn't been working. His team is 3 points above Arsenal and Manchester United, making their stand in first four shaky. Well, the match ended 2-0 in favour or Arsenal. Lacazette got the first goal, while Koscielny got the second.
Another interesting match was the game between Liverpool and Crystal Palace in Anfield. Seven goals were scored in the match. Mohammed Salah scored two; Firmino and Mane scored one each for Liverpool, while Townsend, Meyer and Tomkins were on the score sheet for Crystal Palace. When Milner got a red card in the 89th minute, it got tough and we expected a draw. But Mane's goal in the 90th minute settled it.
Manchester United won Brighton by 2 goals to 1 at Old Trafford. Pogba scored a penalty in the 27th minute while Rashford scored their second goal in the 42nd minute. The opponent tried equalizing, but they were only able to score a goal in the second half. Gross was on the score sheet for them in the 72nd minute.
Real Madrid surprised us in Laliga by defeating Sevilla despite their poor form. Casemiro and Modric made it 2-0. Who would have thought Real Madrid will come back this way? Let's hope this great win doesn't stop here. They lost the match they played before this, thereby giving Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to move ahead. Barcelona on the other hand secured a win against Levante. Atletico travelled down to Huesca's home ground and defeated them by 3 goals to 0, while Valencia also went away to win Celta Vigo; 1-2 was the final score.
Paris Saint German made a remarkable win on Saturday. Guingamp were beaten blue black. 9 - 0 was in fact a disgrace and a big defeat. Mbappe and Cavani scored hatricks. Neymar scored two, while Muenier scored one. They weren't the only ones that got a big win in France though; Strasbourg also won Monaco by 5 goals to 1. Monaco's form has dropped drastically and mightn't be coming back anytime soon.
Just so you know, Juventus and Napoli won their matches too. So, virtually all the top teams won their games except Chelsea who played against another top team. That's it for this week - the weekend games recap. Until we meet next time.
