RE: The World of Football is Reaching Insanity

It's an absolute nonsense. And whats this new trend of announcing moves outside the transfer window?
As you say, he is good but not top draw but the salary is incredible and you wonder the logic behind agreeing to pay it.
I have been a fan both pre and post sky and I like these post sky years but I do ask myself where the ceiling lies and and is it a glass one.
The premier league has got stale, not because of the money alone necessarily and I find it difficult getting excited when I get to the pub on a saturday night and theyre showing Huddersfield vs Bournemouth for example.
However, next season will be a whole new ball game ;-)

Sort:

If their contract runs out they are allowed to talk with signs, and even sign a pre-contract, in last 6 months of their contract. That’s since the Bowman rule.

Only limitation is that they can only sign a pre-contract for another league.

To be honest... it’s getting always more difficult to get excited about a game at the pub. So many who can’t afford the Sky Commercial fee anymore. Only the biggest pubs are still in it.
