It happened at sunset while hundreds of people were live streaming expecting the sighting to be announced. Nothing was reported and the live streamers disbanded.
There was no announcement.
There have been no shofar blasts.
The official site took hours to report it.
This has never happened before. I watch this festival every year and as soon as the new moon is sighted, there are trumpet sounds on and off for then next 24 hours.
There is a broadcast scheduled for tomorrow which is another first for this holiday. It seems that someone does not want to mess up the planned version of the Feast of Trumpets by letting the real Feast of Trumpets come at its appointed time.
According to the reported sighting, The last trump will be blown at sunset on the 24th of September.
