The most famous quote for change. And this weekend, you hear whispers, whispers that are getting louder. It's the final countdown. So the weekend's here and again, we have another round of FourPlay. This time around songs about change. Here's another good one ...

Sure change is scary and you'd rather deal with the devil you know. On the flip side familiar does not help you grow. Familiarity breeds contempt. Truth be told, change is just part and parcel of Life. As humans from the point we are conceived we are changing - physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. Here's a good one from @patlu that is about change and she breaks it down so well.

So with that, let's get to the fun stuff. So many songs have been written about change. Here are my 4 picks for this round.

Everything Must Change - Paul Young

You probably know him for his biggest hit "Everytime You Go Away". But before that was this. The first song he penned having only sung covers prior. From his 1982 album No Parlez which sold seven million copies back then, making it the biggest selling UK signed album on CBS. He was the first to be labled "Blue Eyed Soul' back in the 80's and if you've never heard of Paul Young, then take a listen.

A Change Would Do You Good - Sheryl Crow

She and her writing team had an idea for the style of the song which was Motown , but didn't know what the song should be about. So they came up many different lyric ideas and threw them in a hat. As Crow picked them out at random, and they started reading them, they thought it made sense. They had to swap some lines, but otherwise it turned out to be this.

Change - Daniel Merriweather

Inspired by the change Obama brought under his administration, this song is about not getting too comfortable and to keep striving. Merriweather worked with rapper Wale who had been touring with him. They would discuss their concerns with the world and this you will find reflected in the song.

Waiting On The World To Change - John Mayer

The title says it all. People in general, will not make the change. They'll wait, they'll even complain and that's where it stops. According to Mayer, this song talks about the current generation and their approach to a situation. Take a step back and then the wait and see approach. This song won him a grammy for Best Male Pop Performance. And when you listen you'll hear the subtle anguish in his voice.
