RE: We have to have workers, we don't have to have dollars.

You have been trained from birth to accept the paradigm as it is.
Every time you got out of line, you were corrected.
By parents and teachers that were also trained the same way.

Trained to obedience so that most people do as others tell them. Then authorities wonder why obedient people go and do things they don't want them to do, because someone else told them to do it. Obey, obey obey, but only us and us alone. If someone else tells you to do something we don't like, then you have to grow a pair and not follow those instincts to obey that we've instilled in you.

How many people don't wear their seatbelts or roll through stop signs?
Fewer and fewer.
It's a pox on the land of the free.

Here we still have a little more disobedience and on the road you'll get tailgated and beeped at if you stick to speed limits and obey the newest road rules. Even the police can't seem to stick to road rules! So you're torn between the aggression of other road users and obeying authority's rules. Not that I think the authorities mind that much; they'll make money on fines from disobedience, after all.

Folks here are getting really good at rolling through stop signs.
We had a real problem with uninsured drivers, but now they read tags.
You can't go anywhere in town without getting your tag checked multiple times.
They put chips into the tags and chip readers at major intersections.
The biddies at the fusion center sit and watch for cameras to throw a flag, and dispatch a cop.
Most folks don't even know.
