The sound had finally moved away from him! Weekend freewrite

This is the freewrite challenge. I am using @mariannewest’s #weekendfreewrite to write this piece please read here. The story presented today is developed in three parts indicated by the respective prompt:

Part 1 : The first sentence

The sound had finally moved away from him!

That dark night after the blackout John took a flashlight and in the darkness of the night went to the garden to see what had happened.

The noise woke him up but now it had disappeared, it had sounded in the direction of the forest.

Suddenly the flapping of an owl disturbed the silence of the night, even at that moment he had not been able to identify where that deafening noise had come from, this made his heart throb with force.

He was worried about his wife Martha who still slept deeply, that weekend they were spending it outside the city taking advantage of the short break.

The darkness had disoriented him, suddenly some branches moved, then he directed the beam of light towards the trees, suddenly the brightness of two eyes was highlighted.

Observing in detail, he realized that a gray wolf stood out with its overwhelming figure.

The wolf would only have to wait for her.

Thought that passed quickly through his mind. He remembered at that moment stories that had told him about that place, where unusual situations usually happened.

Such as the presence of wild animals that attracted by the smell of people could approach the shelter in order to look for food. There was also talk of beggars who could wander around.

All this confirmed his fears, so he returned to look for his hunting rifle. When making a shot in the air the wolf disappeared from the scene, at that moment Peter awoke, the beggar who crouched asleep outside in the garden.

The surprised man made a scream that echoed in the forest. It was as if the forest spirits came out of their lair.

Peter approached where the stunned John was and called him by his name. Without waiting for someone to meet him in that place, he exclaim:

he knew my name!!

How is it possible that this happened? So far from the city and its office.

The mystery was revealed the next day when John invited Peter to have some toast of bread and fried eggs.

So at that moment he asked him.

Why do you know my name?

Peter replied:

John, five years ago, you sold me a farm that the bank financed. But it turns out that I went bankrupt and I could not finish paying.
Now I'm homeless living outdoors.

With the mystery unveiled, John and Martha offered Peter work in the city. Peter, thanking them for the gesture, did not accept it, he told them that now for his life he was on the side of nature sharing his nights with the owls and the wild wolves.

Already relaxed after the shock of the previous night they decided to go outside to contemplate the beautiful sunrise. The sun rose in the east, discovering the spacious valley that was next to the forest.
