Film: Companion (2025)

.

Companion is yet another film where people have a relationship with a robot or in this case program a robot so that they can use it in a different way than intended. And of course the robot, called Iris, finds out and the result is a murder weapon that "reprograms" itself where the opposite of companionship or sex can be expected.

I don't find the poster of the film attractive, the story on wikipedia is so, so but when I see the trailer it seems less Barbie-like than I had in mind. Will I see this film? Probably not or maybe when it's winter again and I'm bored.

Is the robot the future when it comes to companionship? That chance seems small to me, especially in an era where bread is becoming unaffordable, just like electricity and everyone keeps babbling about polluting the environment and CO2 emissions, left footprints and so on. If you believe in such statements, then you should definitely not buy anything and not overload the power grid with your Tesla, twelve devices, each family member with their own companion robot, because otherwise the power station cannot handle it and you are left with an expensive doll that you have to pay off.

I would NOT spend a single minute , look at the images, nothing striking, and the theme is the same and the same, we need people who focus on something different with robotic nuances and a bit of artificial intelligence, NOT people who copy others giving absurd nuances like these, it is my humble opinion.

I believe this is the future... men first .. those bots already exist for companion. 10K euros and you have your companion.. cheaper is talking to one online

What I'm looking for is an intelligent woman, with a good sense of humor, who I can talk to about interesting topics, Imagine having a robot, it makes me a little funny. Can you imagine me making a joke and receiving one of these macabre smiles? Have you seen a robot's smile? Hahaha.

Congratz on the idea!!

It has not crossed my mind to just link a prompt to a name of a movie. Interesting approach...

That's the great thing about sharing 1 prompt our brain thinks in different ways 😉

Well.. Sometimes we are focused in one area and forget about other areas..
