jaw dropping

The first jaw-dropping thing that comes to mind is cartoons.

I had to search a bit, but Howlin’ Wolf—one I’d never seen before—makes it clear what that expression looks like. (I’ve never seen a guy actually do that.) Maybe it’d be better if some did, instead of the behavior we usually see. I can’t call it macho—it’s worse.

Imagine if the jaw did that, or worse, fell off or couldn’t go back. It happens. Jaws getting stuck open, unable to close. It’s painful, sometimes triggered by yawning. The wolf seems to have a strong jaw, though. His eyes are fine too, even if they’re popping out.

The film ends a bit sadly: shooting yourself in the head to stop feeling what you feel. But the solution doesn’t work. The ghost (inner self?) isn’t any different from the living one, and the girl keeps her fan—or stalker, depending on how you see it.

No jaw-dropping for me. Or jaw-droppers.

That's so sad, the ghost have to live on with that feeling.
