Yay! I love a visit to the farmers market! Glad you endured the sweltering heat to find some yummy goodies. We usually go right when they are opening on Saturday mornings, and I still end up covered in sweat this time of year by the time we leave. Totally worth it, though.

We have a few stores that sound like the first one you went to here, as well. Seems silly that they can call themselves a "farmers market" when nothing is locally grown. Ah well, they serve their purpose. I actually grabbed my first watermelon this past weekend at my market, too! I'm finishing up the peaches from picking last week before I cut into it, though. I can't wait! I've gotten a few rock melons, which are good but nothing beats refreshing watermelon on a summer day for sure. Love your ugly carrots, too!
