Without people like @berniesanders who invested their bitcoin or eth to buy into the system the artists and writers on here providing content would get loads of up-votes worth next to nothing. Get it yet @l0k1? This system requires whales in order to have the "lottery effect" that is currently drawing loads of new users and content providers.
