Rescue Diary - Rez dogs head for Vegas

Today it was a short(er) drive for me transporting these rescued dogs from Holbrook to Seligman, AZ this morning. A litter of un-named and un-wanted puppies from up on the Navajo lands and an older neglected pittie suffering from mange and not enough to eat.
At least these little ones were lucky - they've been saved by a rescue and will now get settled in and healthy before they find their new homes. Many, many, MANY more never get the chance and are simply abandoned to their fate on the reservation.

Still too young to be adopted these fur babies will be cared for until they can be adopted. Hopefully all will go to a forever home quickly.

Poor Brave was a mass of dry skin and scabs but fortunately his mange is a fungus and not contagious and some warm baths and loving care he'll recover and be the sweet and beautiful pit bull that he should be.

Such a sweet and gentle little boy just loved being petted and held for a little while before the last legs of his trip. I'd love to see him when he's healthy and recovered from his condition so that I could give him some more hugs.
