Amiibos look awesome. They're miles ahead of the Skylanders and are only comparable in quality to the Disney Infinity figures.
I... I still haven't caved in to them, though. My shelfs are pretty crowded as it is right now, and the wife usually says "no more small figures, only the larger ones that look better on display". She has a point :D
But I like taking my time to appreciating the Amiibos in stores. Maybe one day...
I've dabbled in both Disney Infinity and Skylanders but I think it's mostly my Nintendo fanboy-ism that made me stick with amiibo. I will admit the Disney Infinity figures are really well made! And although I love me some Lego I never really got into Lego Dimensions either.
For me, nothing beats the PlayArts figures. Problem is, they're expensive, so it's not like I can really collect them :|
They're like Amiibos in detail, only bigger :)
