RE: The "bad" about Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
I remember quite liking Prince of Persia about 30 years ago. This version sounds terrible though!

I think everyone that had the pleasure of playing the early "Prince" games has fond memories of them, especially the really groundbreaking early one. This one isn't bad, it is meant for modern gamers and I understand why they would do it. These days it seems as though a lot of the audience completely dismiss a game if it is too easy, and this one definitely isn't that if you play it in its raw form.
the term “modern gamer” provoked some interesting thoughts. Would you not consider yourself a modern gamer?
As a complete aside, do you have any interest in who Steemit’s witnesses are or the proposals that users have submitted?
I am an old-school gamer who still plays because I enjoy it, but modern gaming seems to focus on much more difficult gameplay because the competitive gaming is a very big part of today. Back when I first started gaming, if you wanted competitive you went over to a friend's place and had a few games of Street Fighter 2. You didn't have the ability to play against hundreds of thousands of potential opponents at any given time of day. I'm not competitive anymore, so these kinds of experiences don't really appeal to me.
I hear ya!
And Tekken 🙂
oh yeah. Tekken was such a game changer when it came out. Virtua Fighter kind of started that trend out but Tekken made it a lot better.
I can't remember ever playing Virtua Fighter. I think that Street Fighter 2 would've been the first of that genre I remember... and then the pride when I got Mortal Kombat II for the Master System. Looking back to that period, I'm amazed that my parents let me own that - I wonder if I'd let my kids play something similar 😆
You played MK2 on a Master System? Surely you mean Mega Drive / Genesis. I remember enjoying that game but with the Sega controller only having 3 buttons, it made the game a lot more complicated than I felt it should be.
I had to look at my old cartridges to check and you're right - it was the original Mortal Kombat on the Master System. It was only recently that I got a Mega Drive... my memory isn't what it once was!
If you could point me in that direction I would be happy to have a look
Cool. I'll paste my "templated" response and you can choose which suits you best. Thank you 👍
1. The Easiest Long Term
This is probably easiest if you would prefer to focus just on blogging / commenting.
If people set me as their witness voting proxy on this page - https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses
Scroll to the bottom and enter the-gorilla then "Set Proxy":
This will mean that I choose the witnesses and proposals that users support and that they'll never need to think about it.
2. Supporting Individual Proposals
This is probably best if you who want to be more hands-on with your witness / proposal decisions.
I've found this one more difficult to explain but would involve visiting this page - https://steemitwallet.com/proposals
and just voting for my proposal:
This will be good until March 2026 when I'll need to go contact everybody again if there's enough work to continue for another year.
awesome. I'll pick through this later today when I get a chance. Thanks!
