I'll admit I started following you because you read and commented on my first gaming posts. :) It gave me encouragement to do my own take on reviewing games for specific purposes, like what games are just nice to relax with.
I agree though, that there's heavy pressure to keep pumping out the content, curate, try to lure whales while building your brand and following. I'll just say this as someone who worked in publishing, that it's a pain in the butt, takes a lot of work, and it's best to write the stuff you actually care about, so it seems less like work. :)
I disagree about the "you have to keep pumping out content" part. Quality is too important to pass on steemit. When you write a fine post, you get fine, loyal followers! You just have to stay in touch with them. It is a social platform instead of a post-more-win-more ad-based site, after all.
