Pests - invisible enemies of cherries

in #gardening2 months ago (edited)

When the cherry trees bloom with bright flowers, it looks like nature is holding its breath for the holiday. But there are hidden dangers behind this peaceful scene. Pests and diseases threaten your tree. These problems can damage the look of the cherry tree or even cause you to lose the crop you want so much.

Knowing the signs and types of cherry diseases helps you catch issues early. For example, leaves may show brown spots, the bark could crack, and fruits might start rotting right on the branch. These symptoms could be caused by diseases like Coccomycosis, Moniliosis, or Bacterial cancer.

Each disease shows itself in a different way. These illnesses weaken the tree and can shorten its life. It's especially important to watch for early signs, when treatment can still work well. For instance, Coccomycosis causes small brown spots on leaves that grow larger until the leaves fall early. Moniliosis affects not only the fruit but also the branches, making them dry out and die.
