RE: Well a day at the farm for me, want to see it?
Wow this is a great kind of post. Wonderful real pictures of real work and a real life going on.
Is everything being grown organic? If so what kinds of Pests do you encounter? Who do you prep the soil? Are you composting for fertilizer?
Have you been to @quochuy s blog? He is a vermiculture kinda a guy lots to learn from him and his website about growing worms. Here is the latest work from him here
I will ask the wife to get you a link to the big group she is a part of that has so many great ideas for growing your own food. I really think this is one of the only ways we can overcome the system we hate. Is to do our own thing and eat fresh home grown food just like our grandparents did.
Having a big battle right now with some credit card company trying to force me to pay an airline for cancellation fees. Almost 2500 USD total. WTF why is it my responsibility to carry the Airline if they cant do good business? How is it a law if someone writes terms that are unreasonable? Honestly if you dont get a service you don't owe any money! How do I owe them 2500 USD for nothing?
Yes all organic for us, though the free food project I let the locals manage, and they were spraying the fields, up to them, they are eating it, I just let them use the land, and they are more experienced than I.
Everything we grew on the 3 patches you see in the photos we only used nettles that we left to ferment for pesticide, it stinks like cow dung, though the insects will not come near it, I learnt this the first year here, after noticing anything growing next to nettles, bugs stay away, hence I made it a pesticide.
The soil is different in all 3 patches, some will need lime and fertilizer this Autumn, all will be fertilized using cow dung from the cows we had grazing, plus some we are buying in.
It is 5 past midnight regards to people needing to grow food, not grass, I have been saying it for 5 years, stop mowing lawns and grow food, nobody listens though.
Credit card companies have a direct duty to protect you the customer, not the airline, you can read that in their terms and conditions, it should be clearly stated.
@marcstevens .net may help you avoid paying in court.
