Life in my Backyard Garden
Life can be incredibly busy when we wear many hats like as a mom, a farmer, and a freelancer all at once. But even with a full schedule, I make sure that I never forget one of the things that brings me so much joy and purpose: planting organic vegetables for our family’s consumption.
I may not have a perfect schedule, but I believe that even small efforts count. So even if it’s a few seeds at a time, I plant different vegetables in our backyard garden to make sure we have a variety to harvest. Right now, I have cucumbers, chili, string beans, okra, winged beans and squash growing.
Just a few days ago, I planted 18 seeds of squash, carefully placing them in the plastic containers and pot. I also sowed string beans using seeds from my previous harvest, I simply dried the and planted the, again. I love the idea that something we grew and eat before can now give us new life in the garden. That’s the beauty of organic gardening, it feels like a full circle of care and sustainability....
🎉 Congratulations!
