RE: Some thoughts on growing hardneck garlic in Zone 5
thats a lot of garlic.
How would you rejuvenate the soil after, what crop would you rotate in to replenish the sulfer and other minerals the garlic took out?
Well manure is always a great go to, and any compost you may have. From what I've read Garlic is a light feeder so you can follow with a heavy feeder if you wish. A friend of mine grows 15,000 bulbs a year and he plants clover as a cover crop in between uses for cost effectiveness, and you could use buckwheat too.
