"A MAN'S MIND PLANS HIS WAY [as he journeys through life], BUT THE LORD DIRECTS HIS STEPS AND ESTABLISHES THEM."
Proverbs 16:9 (Amps.)

"WE MAKE OUR OWN PLANS,
BUT THE LORD DECIDES WHERE WE WILL GO."
Proverbs 16:9 (Contemporary English Version)

"PEOPLE MAKE PLANS FOR WHAT THEY WILL DO, but it is the LORD who LEADS them in the RIGHT WAY."
Proverbs 16:9 (EasyEnglish Bible)

• Ambition defined:
a. An eager or strong desire to achieve something, such as fame or power.
b. Strong desire for success, achievement, or distinction.
c. Desire to achieve a particular end.

• Ambition may be all right, not outrightly bad, If only it was in line with God's plan for your life.

  • Whatever you are ambitious to be could be realized through your efforts and abilities; but you may not be what God has ordained you to be
  • If the ambition tallies or agrees with God's plan for your life, it is all right. However, if such an ambition is contrary to God will, plan, and purpose for your life—it should be discarded.
  • This is the reason why a believer should not be carnally ambitious. A believer should seek to know God's plan for his or her life and align themselves with it—at the discovery of it.

• Mostly, ambitions are born out of carnal desires. An ambition is what you desire, long, and want to be as an individual. But, we human beings are finite in our understanding, we know in part (1 Corinthians 13:9); only God is infinite in knowledge and understanding.

  • Not only that, He is the Creator, the Maker of all things. He made you, He is the only One Who knows the purpose why you were made or created.
  • Thus, to fulfil in life, it requires that you discover why God has sent you to the planet earth.
  • It is when you discovered His purpose and plan for your life, and you pursued or followed it, that you become a success—a fulfilled person.

• In being born-again, that is, at new birth, it is not about what you want to be in life; but what God wanted you to be.

  • Endeavour to seek to know what God wanted for your life, that is, what He has in plan for your life and gladly key yourself into it.
  • It is the knowing of God's purpose or plan for your life that is called a vision. Your God-given vision will give you directions in life—you know where you are going.
  • That being said, one of the intricacies or complexities of a God-given vision or plan is, the details of it might not be known, because a God-given vision evolves.
  • It is when you are concluding a phase that another phase would be made known to you, It evolves—gradually becomes clearer or more detailed or elaborated as you progressed.
  • Another characteristic of a God-given vision or plan is, If you try to discard It, It would still come back to you. It is usually propped up in the heart when you are in dilemma, knowing not what next to do. It will not leave you until you have taken a step on it.

• God speaks through dreams, night visions, angelic visitations, trances, and prophetic visions, which are called spectacular ways of hearing from God (Acts 10:9-17; 16:9,10; 27:23-25).
These spectacular ways are seldom used by God. He often speaks through inward witnesses—impressions and painting of pictures in your heart (Romans 8:14).

  • Thus, the plan of God for your life would be painted as a picture or imprinted as a photograph in your heart. The pictures would be coming as a thought.
  • At times you have to consciously wait on God to ask Him for the plan He has for your life. But to some, It comes to them without asking, whilst they are busy pursuing their ambitions.
  • It is at the discovery of God's plan your life begins to have meaning; takes a new shape and have a clear direction and purpose.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Whatever is not of God in your body that is working against your health and wellness, such is cursed and completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • Hold of infirmity is broken totally and It will never be formed again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION

IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
