RE: Geographie 021 - Tainted Heroes - PDF, Supplement
Ok i understand you. But first of all, let me clarify that I'm black too. I didnt really mean all black people are lazy.
My comment was based on "Most" black men in S.A.
Take a look at the xenophobic attacks on other black nationals that have happened recently in S.A. This was pepertuated by the black nationals of S.A on other blacks. And this was as a result of their jealousy and for the progress of other nationals.
I have been to south Africa many times, I know what i am saying.
Of course there are very good hardworking ones amongst them. But many of them are lazy and when other nationals progress, they become jealous and start attacking them. Same reason they attack the white minority.
This is all fine. I just wanted to further clarify my viewpoint, which is not very well-founded on South Africa. I did not intend to criticise you. Since it is our first or second dialogue here, it is not always easy to truly understand, what the other participant means. Therefore I usually write detailed answers.
I said I do not stigmatise people, because I do not want to render premature judgments. This is easily declared to be one-sided, racist etc. and this is not at all the level on which I intend to have my discussions. But I think that I understand the general mechanisms which take place in many societies, especially the toxic ones.
And I definitely agree, that most of the crimes in South Africa happen within the black community. There is also a very sad quote at the end of Tainted Heroes by Strike Thokoane:
I consider it to be an essential element of egalitarianism, Marxism etc. that every blade of grass has to be cut at the same length. There is no room for individual success, self-realisation and basically creativity as well as for self-responsibility, personal independence and freedom.
Instead of enjoying the success of people of the own hometown or region all together, learning of each other, trying to cooperate, learning to be self-responsible, people are thinking about how to cut the grass the most efficient way, which is fundamentally wrong.
You are 100% right.
