Hello Steemains friend,

Turkish cuisine History of Turkish cuisine Also known as Ottoman cuisine and traditional Turkish cuisine ingredients include yogurt, ayran, kaymak Middle East ,Asia and European cuisine influences. Turkish cuisine focuses primarily on rice, vegetables, and bread, with Turkish specialty food ingredients including meat, lamb, beef, chicken, and fish, and balanced use in a variety of spices that can make food flavor and traditional foods. In addition, traditional Turkish cuisine includes kofte, Doner, Kokorec, midye tava, borek and gozleme served at various fast food restaurants. Moreover, among dessert items, Turkish delight, baklava is popular.
Now let's start the main topics of the course
✅1-Have you tried any Turkish food? Which Turkish food is available at your local places? |
---|
Cooking is my hobby and I like to make different types of recipes. Moreover, whenever I see a new local or foreign recipe, I immediately try to make it exactly because by following their methods, anyone can be good at cooking, so I also try different types of cooking.
I've seen a lot of Turkish food but I haven't had the luck to eat all kinds of food. But popular among these Turkish dishes is Turkist Delight What I ate.A combination of a lot of nuts makes a delight with a slightly sweet taste and a bit of soft, very tasty which feels great to me to eat .Every bite is like that with a different flavor of different types of nuts. This dessert item is one of my favorite Turkish dishes.
I am staying in Bangladesh, so it was not possible for me to eat all kinds of Turkish food, but in our local place we eat some types of food that match Turkish food, especially kebab items.
In addition to Bangladeshi food, many types of international food, especially many types of Turkish food, are available in our local area.Especially kebabs, doners and baklavaTurkish food, Baklava is a very popular dessert item in our country.
Kebabs are made in very different restaurants of our country which is a very popular dish.We usually eat these kebabs with bread or paratha. Going to different restaurants or fast food shops, it is usually seen that when the kebabs are served, the whole atmosphere should be full of smoky flavors. The kebabs are so tasty to eat that such dishes are prepared in various restaurants in our country, very similar to Turkish cuisine.
✅2- Make the given recipe or any recipe that you like from Turkish cuisine step by step in detail with pictures. Include your name tag with date in final presentationof recipe. |

Following this challenge recipe from Turkish cuisine, I am making a Turkish kebab item today and all the ingredients I need to make it are:
Beef | 250 grams |
---|---|
Garlic paste | 1 tsp |
Red Chili powder | 1 tsp |
Coriander leaves | little |
Cumin powder | 1 tsp |
Garam masala powder | 1 tsp |
Baking soda | ¼ tsp |
Pepper powder | 1 tsp |
Onion | 1 big |
Green Chile | 4-5 slice |
Oil | 2 tbsp |
Salt | 1½ tsp |
For sald
Green Chile | 4-5 slices |
---|---|
Tomato | 1 |
Onion | 2 big |
First wash the meats, cut the beef into small pieces without the bones, then a blend to make a good minced meat of beef.
Now at this stage I'll take all the spices on a plate and knead the beef well.I will take lemon juice and apply it well with the breadcrumbs, then add baking soda to it, I will fry the kebabs in a fry pan in a little oil and shallow fries.
Fry the onion and tomato green chillies lightly.
And that's how Turkish cuisine beef Kebab was made following today's recipe.
✅3-Is your local cousin has any food that resembles with the sharp recipe? |
---|
Kebabs are also very popular food in our country but may not be made exactly like Turkish cuisine but in our country it is traditionally made with our local spices. Sometimes grilled, sometimes made on fries or coal fire.
I have a lot of local food that is quite similar to the recipe to share. Especially these types of kebabs are made with beef and chicken known as kofta kebabs.
The only difference between the challenge recipe and my recipe was that I deep fried these kebabs in oil.
I sometimes make it with beef/chicken.But I've never used baking soda and lemon juice in my recipe and I use other spices.
✅4- Which flavour or spice do you like from Turkish cuisine? |
---|
I am Bangladeshi but I have never tried but what kind of spice is used in any kind of Turkish food. But after seeing your recipe, I came to know that actually the type of spice we use in cooking is used to spice the food in the food of all countries. In that case the cooking technique and the taste in the dishes are just different.

Usually the flavors and spices are used in the dishes, so many such spices are used in our country.I especially use cumin masala in almost many types of food that I like the cumin flavor. And at the beginning of cooking or at the end of cooking, of course, I don't make the mistake of adding the cumin spice flavor. It has a different feature that adds new aroma to the food.
Moreover, pepper powder and garlic is one of my common spices that I use more in vegetables or meat.
Paprika powder is a very smoky flavor that I like a lot, besides, a smoky flavor in kebab food doubles the taste of the food. So it's nice to use Paprika powder again in any kebab-like dish.
Lemon juice can enhance the taste of any food recipe, especially fish and meat.
From food, I prefer many types of spices to Turkish food. Different types of almonds are used in Turkish food, and because of the different types of almonds, the flavors of the foods in doubled.
