God Always Provides

Dearly beloved,

Our God is gracious and kind.

In considering the fact that John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way of the Lord Jesus before His (Jesus') ministry began (Luke 1:76; 7:27) we understand that whatever God has called us to do, He will always go (and has already gone) ahead of us to provide the resources: people, conditions, provisions, etc., necessary to fulfil that assignment.

We see this in the story of Abraham, Isaac, the sacrifice and the ram: Genesis 22:1-13.

We also see this in the story of Elijah, the ravens and the widow of Zarephath: 1 Kings 17:1-16 and in other examples in Scripture.

Praise be to God for it is He that goes before us to make the crooked places straight!
