Parthenon at night

The ruins of the Parthenon in Athens still stand after nearly two and a half thousand years. It took a total of fifteen years and the equivalent of tens of millions of dollars to create, almost bankrupting the city. With the benefit of hindsight we can safely say that the returns on that investment are immeasurable!
