And now I fully understand the structure of a bullet cartridge thing and why there’s a bit that drops 😆 saved me having to look it up when I got to bits where I’d need to know thanks 😄

Haha, I'm sure you would have worked it out! You're resourceful. Yes, the bit that drops is the spent case. It's what I reload to make new rounds.
I'll make a shooter out of you yet!
