A Poem about Autumn and Halloween, a Season of candy giving!!!!

as the leaves fall
and the weather turns
a season of treats
and tricks, and spooky things,
begin to emerge.

it is the only season
and the single day
we dedicate to giving away
candy to our neighbors.

a bag filled to the brim
wandering the night streets,
the cool autumn breeze
blowing, the treats
await our eating.

hiding in their homes
waiting for a scare
to scream and shriek
and then award the
children with their
candy.
