Changes in Hari-Raid Game — For good or for bad?

Magma titan would definitely be having a sense of security as the last man standing Boss. He's literally feeling himself because he has stayed for over a week without being defeated. Could the game be getting less interesting? Nope, someone said. Permit me to interview a Steemian who's a gamer, a silent gamer in the Hari Raid game. 😁😁

The interview was conducted on WhatsApp social media platform. So I'll be pasting all that he said. Where do we start from? Let me briefly list all the observable changes on the platform.

  • Referral change
  • Delayed death of the Bosses
  • Reduction in cards count
  • New players outshine old players

Come to think of it, some people say the game is getting less interesting and less competitive than before. I won't say it's getting less interesting if you can compete with a fellow Steemian on who gets the highest score in terms of lucky cards since you can't do referrals or observe the new referral rule. Like damn. You'll enjoy it. Let me start by talking about the new referral changes.

Some weeks ago, I stated that the referral stuff is actually making newbies feel they can't be among the toppers unless the refer people. Some newbies become less concerned and uninterested in playing the game again as they don't have a chance. That still hasn't changed because competition is constant even with the changes in referrals.

Now people are going into purchasing steems to play, taking others who don't have steems down the leaderboard. So that really didn't change anything much. It only changed the speed at which one moved. So anyone can actually reach a topper now unlike before, where it was virtually impossible to do so. The interview would be dual as he also interviewed me.

@us-andrew: I can remember driving hard those days referral has good Hari points. What about you? Seems your 86 referrals has reduced to 10. What can you say about the changes in the referral system?

@bossj23: You're not far off from the truth. The referral system has changed and this is good opportunity for those who couldn't refer to earn Hari points. They can now play fair, slow, steady and also have a chance to reach 1-20 which was impossible during the high referral point days. I love the new system now. Everyone can play fair without getting discouraged. But the thing is, referrals still count and I observed a couple of new players invading the game now. They purchase steems to go higher, leaving those whom referral no longer support and those who have no steems behind
.

Yesterday, I had a total of 12 referrals but checking today, it reduced to 10. Anyways, I see every changes as an opportunity and it's far more better than waking up in 2 days to see you haven't played anything but the game has ended. So I think it's quite fair

@bossj23: What can you say about the invasion of new players? It seems new unknown players are invading the game now with Steem purchases. Just imagine, it's only @lil.albab I know as one of the 1-20. These ones were the ones behind during the referral days. Now, they are leading. Truly, everyone has a chance. What can you say?

@us-andrew: Don't know what to say though but I feel tables haved turned in favour of those newbies who couldn't meet up with the referral of a thing. The criteria has affected some people since it's basically on SP ways. I see it as an opportunity to play fair though. I can remember reading of your reviews and in it, you stated that referrals as the only way to earn high is making newcomers lose interest in the game. Now, it's better than before I must admit.

@bossj23: Seriously, tables haved turned. I wonder what me that doesn't have enough steems would do 🤣🤣🤣. What about the delayed killing of the Magma titan Boss?

@us-andrew: This Boss is a fortunate scapegoat. Like, he's literally feeling himself. He's the first Boss that has stayed for a week without being dead, like, who does that? Back then when the game was more competitive than it is now, who goes a Boss to stay more than 4 days? They don't even have guts because the brutal hair raiders won't let them. Now, pud brutal Hari raiders can't kill a Boss as fast as they used to. Thanks to the changes lately. To me, I personally feel the game is becoming less competitive and uninteresting. I may not know for others but, that's what I feel. When it was competitive and fast, it was so much fun. Now everything is just dull, slow and favourable. What do you say? You don't lack suggestions in mind.

@bossj23: I think there are better ways to make this game fair and still as competitive as it were. It's a suggestion to the creators of the game. I know I've said this before but I need to say it again. It's good that the referral drive has stopped because it was unhealthy and discouraging to those who couldn't refer, but still, the vibes isn't there again as before. Everything is slow now. Even newbies who can't purchase steems or refer with the new referral system rule may feel they can never get to the top.

A quick suggestion is that with all these in place, people should get lucky. Let's just say,

If I'm lucky to have a legendary card in my game play, I'll receive 3 credits for free. This would make the game even more interesting. If one has 2 Hari flush, he gets 6 credits. This would be a game of luck to get credits but I bet, it would be favourable because not one person will get favoured everytime. Everyone gets a chance.

@us-andrew: Wow, this sounds nice. Not too bad for a try though. I also observed Hari Straight Flush reduced from 345 to 200+. Is this part of the changes?

@bossj23: Yes it is from what I observed. Anyways, the game creators have good reasons for their changes. Let's play along. I'm in rank 60. Can I reach 1-20 🤣🤣🤣. Can I challenge you based on game play? Let's fix a date for this challenge. Anyone who wins, you'll set as beneficiary in your post......15% 🤣🤣🤣. In or out?
