Can You Get Addicted To Massage Theraphy? Do You Wish To Heal Your Neck & Back Problems?
I am blaming "my bloody lovely Mac" for the rise of my neck and back problems and miss floating in a pool!
We curl up in bed, on sofas, benches and even on carpets with our devices, use them on the kitchen and living room tables, balance them on our knees or bring them on subways, to work on the go.
It seems that my income can only be secured, using those digital "monsters" on a daily base. I have to find a solution to prevent more pain attacks. I am one of those who is not working in a posture-friendly environment for many years, mostly traveling or living in different homes.
“These devices are incredibly useful but must be used sensibly,” says Tim Hutchful, from the British Chiropractic Association. “Laptops are only designed to be used for short periods but many people spend hours at a time on their laptop and they are now being used in the home as substitutes for desk computers.” - Source Working from Home: Back Health Risk
What to do? Yoga, pilates, steam-rooms, daily walks, stretches, gym....pffffff!!!
Recently, I was told by doctors, if I am not more careful, I will end up with massive health issues. We are not getting younger! It's better to be aware, to prevent pain early enough.
I believe in "The Healing Power" of massages!!!
This was my miracle man, back in Bali in my villa.
My airbnb villa was a healing paradise for many of my guests and those regular sessions kept me balanced.
The practice of using touch as a healing method derives from customs and techniques rooted in ancient history. Civilizations in the East and West found that natural healing and massage could heal injuries, relieve pain, and prevent and cure illnesses. What’s more, it helped reduce stress and produce deep relaxation. - Source

Massage therapy began as a sacred system of natural healing. However, cultural shifts rendered it a disreputable form of indulgence for extensive periods of history. Enduring these turns, massage has experienced resurgence in modern times. - Source
It was more than time to finally look for a proper massage again, the ones I used to have back in Bali every 2nd day in various different spots, mostly close to the ocean air.
Aroma Spa in Sanur Beach was my favourite!

Foot Reflexology!
Outdoor full body treatments for max 20 Euro per hour
A jump in pool to cool off, after your massage is heaven!
Living in SE-Asia was perfect for me!
I could manage spine and neck damages, I carry with me, since I had a very severe car accident in 1976. I was lucky to survive, while my friend died next to me.
I need massages regulary but in Europe those sessions are costly and way too expansive. I paid 15 Euro more/less per hour in Bali. That's a huge difference to the price of 50 and even more here in Vienna but I have no other choice and pay for.
So, a couple of days ago, I went online, looking for a good place to get a massage, to loosen up my tight muscles around shoulders and right arm, causing heavy nerve pain.
I found the perfect Traditional Thai Massage Spot around the corner where I live, to please my tired and run down body.
With the sound of chimes, the smell of incense and Buddhas around, I felt like I am back "Home".
I hope that I will get back on track soon .......

PS :
I just for fun because this article made me laugh:
I found this kind of silly article : "Confessions of a Thai Massage Addict"
It's so true. Posture and the way we are constantly on these infernal but necessary devices can give us all a pain in the neck, back and everywhere else not to mention the eye strain?
I'm happy that you found a nice Thai massage place near you. At least you can unbundle some of the knots.
Good to see you looking after yourself. I know things are not ideal but this time too will pass.
I didn't even mention my eyes :)
Lets go back to Bali!!!! Agrrrrrr.......
can't live without computer nor massages :)
I know that feeling. I miss my life in Cape town. It was a brilliant time.
Hopefully we can get back to our respective paradises some day. Bali sounds fabulous.
Half half would be Best. Little here and a little there and life will be perfect 🌷the February should be erased from the calendar
Hiii Lovely @Mammasitta, due to the current scenario of market overhaul same condition with everyone, hanging with devices and about every minute check the status and rates.
I am also too much touchy with Steemit these days and try to be online, I added that even in "Bathroom" I used my smartphone.. Hahahah.
You should take care of you Mamma, I think "Massage Therapy" is very useful for Healing Neck & Back Problems as compare to take medicines.
Oh dear! You know what I mean.....Don"t do it in the bathroom !!!!
I just write my articles, reply but refuse to check my wallets, nor rates . I might get more sick hahahaaaa!
Hahahahaha, ok mamma, i often do habitually because want to in touch all the time. now i follow your advice. anyhow now whats about your pain. I also feel pain in my right shoulder and hand because i mostly uses mobile for steemit. Thanks for your always support and reply...
Thats the laptop and handy syndrome and dangerous because it turns into nerve infections.....YOGA!!!! Massages......You have to stretch!
Its not me because I wouldn't show a picture in Bikini :)
One of my friends visiting back then
I do stretching exercises and daily running. Its ok nice to hear about you. I like Message Therapy, but not in our country.

I think I have to go back for a few months....its too expansive here !!!! :(
That place I mention is awesome! Try it! Its very good! Like in SE Asia!
I think I need a weekend there, my lower back is killing me! but I'm far away
find your miracle woman or man who gives you massages and you will be fine! Trust me!!
Now I understand your love for Bali))) This is a weighty reason to be bored)))
Spa's were the best at the island. I truly miss it!
What a Great pictures and what does this look good. I imagine how the Gentse massage will feel. Did you learn how to give a good massage as well ?
This is so true that with every passage of moment we are getting old and our energy level is getting down, precaution is needed. Massage is one of the best healing feels as it provides soothing and inner peace as a whole.
Thanks a lot for the beautiful massage-therapy techniques my friend @mammasita :)
very welcome!
Massages are essential for our well being!!!
I think I'm totally addicted to massages. I suffer from back and neck pains despite being so young and I love a massage. Thanks for sharing!
I am sorry to hear but you need to keep this issue in check because it gets worth.
My spine moved 2 cm and my neck damaged due to bad posture on computers for too many years through my work as a booking agent for artists.
You can manage the pain but need to strengthen the muscles first! Yoga and Pilates! Lots of massages!
Wow, I'm sorry. It's good that you have the knowledge. My problems in the back I think that mostly they are due to my bad posture. Thanks for your recommendations, I will take them into account :)
Interesting publication, I have back problems, when I use the laptop, I try to give it little use because any position I use affects my back..
It’s kind of a problem for me that it seems without internet I can’t get anything done anymore.
Take care of yourself and do Yoga inbetween! It really helps
As a massage therapist I am glad to see this post and letting people know the value of massage. you really were lucky to have a great therapist.
When I start traveling the world I plan to learn many new techniques first hand thanks to Steemit.
SE Asia is fantastic to learn!
This Man called Pak Latief was truly a miracle man because he fixed me up that I could handle my work for many years on computers with his help. Once, I couldn’t walk after a fall. It took him 6 months and I was back in shape again. He was better than any doctor could be. I wish for you that you can travel soon.
what type of massage do they do? Thai or shiatsu
It’s a mix of many styles but his master was Japanese and he mixed it with Javanese traditional. Sometimes it felt like Thai because he moved my whole body, like “yoga”. Hard to describe but he was a “HEALER” and knew exactly what was needed. It was never exactly the same. Every person I saw walking away after his 1-1 1/2 hours treatment was speechless. He was in tune with everybody in different ways.
