The winter up here does this to everyone, scratching is so bad. I have battled this for my whole life @cryptopie. Hot showers will dry you out, and alcohol might feel good initially but also will pull moisture out of your skin. Have you tried a lotion/cream, there are some that have Benadryl in them that really works. If this would be ok with any medication that you take....
