Really interesting. Is there anything that can be done for the obstructions? Also can the people who suffer from this anomaly lead a normal life with only one kidney?
Great questions @xervantes yes the obstruction requires surgical correction but these individuals can lead normal lives with just one kidney. In fact, you actually only need one kidney in order to survive, so for instance anyone who has had a kidney transplant only has one "working" kidney.
