Severely injured leg!

This coal miner was injured in a mine accident when a heavy coal trolley overturned and 30 tone of weight fell over his leg. He was rushed to the hospital for further management. Upon presentation, there was a severe lower limb injury with a coarsely sutured wound present over the upper 3/4 of the leg with evidence of fracture. The patient was taken to theatre immediately and assessed. There was severe crushing of the soft tissues, circumferential degloving of the leg, complete loss of muscles of the anterolateral compartment of the leg.

Due to the magnitude of injury and extent of soft tissue damage, the decision not to salvage the leg was made. It was in the best interest of the patient.

Kaki yang sangat terluka!

Penambang batu bara ini terluka dalam kecelakaan tambang saat sebuah truk batu bara berat terbalik dan 30 ton berat jatuh di atas kakinya. Dia dilarikan ke rumah sakit untuk pengelolaan lebih lanjut. Setelah presentasi, ada cedera ekstremitas bawah yang parah dengan luka yang dijahit dengan kasar pada bagian atas 3/4 kaki dengan bukti patah tulang. Pasien dibawa ke teater segera dan dinilai. Ada kerusakan parah pada jaringan lunak, deglovance degracal kaki, kehilangan otot-otot kompartemen anterolateral kaki.

Karena besarnya kerusakan dan tingkat kerusakan jaringan lunak, keputusan untuk tidak menyelamatkan kaki dibuat. Itu demi kepentingan terbaik pasien.
