Arise model primary health centre, Uyo
In my country Nigeria we have different health facilities ranges from the least to the highest and health workers are available in all office facilities. The least one is the primary health centre then we have the general hospitals and we have teaching hospitals where patients do meet one-on-one with different consultants depending on their health issues.
With regards to this contest, I want to talk about the primary health centre that is very close to my location, we have a lot of health centres around the state and in the city but the one that is very close to me is what I want to talk about which is just renovated few months ago and the facility is very neat, new health workers are being employed to work in the facility.
Few days ago I visited primary health centre in my state. Some structure of the primary health centre in my state of origin has been restructured and some facilities has been added.
I visited Arise model primary health centre barracks road, Uyo on the 2nd May, 2025. I used our personal car to reach there easily but if you want to use public transport to visit there it's very easy as well. Once you get to Uyo plaza, trek a little distance into Barracks road, enter one of the buses that is loading barracks road and stop by the health centre, it is just by the road side. (This direction is for those living within Uyo)
Reasons for visiting
I went there for my baby's medical consultation, she was running temperature so I took her there for consultation and immunization.
The immunization is free so I went there with her card so she can take the vaccine and her card was updated on which vaccine was given a the date taken then we were also told the next due date.

Immunization center
After the immunization, we went to the facility to consult a doctor for my baby's health condition. We carried out some test that were suggested in the health centre laboratory then we went to pharmacy to get medication that was prescribed.
We went through everything using insurance so we did not pay any money for both the consultation, the tests we did at the laboratory and the drugs we got in the pharmacy everything was free through health insurance.
Medications gotten and my baby insurance card
Staff treatment
Talking about the staff treatment in the primary health centre it is top-notch, the nurses are friendly we were attended to respectfully, they also show some empathy and I think I met with the right set of nurses that have passion for their work so in conclusion their treatment was very fair.
Although there were much patient in the facility, the nurses work hand in hand and all the patients were attended to at the right time. So I think I like their pace of work and when it comes to emergency, they are very conscious of it. I remember the day I ran into the hospital with my baby with a temperature of 39° c they treated it as emergency and I was really satisfied with their services.
Quality of medical service, diagnosis, and/or treatment;
Since they are primary health centres, at least they have their level of medical services when the diagnosis are higher than what they can treat, they do refer to higher level like the general hospitals or more advanced hospital like the teaching hospital to meet with consultant doctors. But anything within their treatment they do carry it out.

Prices;
The prices of treatment is affordable and they also accept health insurance and discount to health workers in the facility. They are concerned about your health first before finance.
Cleanliness
Just as the building is very new and neat, their janitors make it a point of duty to maintain the facility. It is very clean and conducive, in a nutshell, the facility is serene.

Parking space
They have enough parking space for visitors as seen in the picture above
Recommendation
Their service is good I recommend them, exception for the fact that most times some medication or vaccines is not available but the workers are always available to attend to you lovingly.
