Greetings Splendid Individuals

I am happy to be here to participate in the "Mental Peace" contest initiated by @suboohi in the Healthy Steem community. All of us crave for mental calm in our hectic and stressed life. It's important for our general health -- to help keep us balanced, focused, and emotionally well. In this post, I want to share with you my thoughts and experience on peace and the things I do to maintain my own.

For me, mental peace is a settled and calm state of mind where a person feels satisfied, anxiety free and emotionally balanced. It’s not just the availability of time unencumbered by problems and worries but primarily, having an inner strength to confront life’s struggles without being overwhelmed by them. For me peace of mind is the ability to sleep at night with a free mind and be happy of what I have. It’s the time when my mind is free of what I did last night, or what I’m going to do tomorrow or even later in the day, and I can exist right here and right now and be in a good, lovely way. For me true peace comes from within, and it develops when I’m in touch with my values, when I act kindly, and when I allow good relationships with my self and others to flourish.

When mental peace is achieved, it will have great benefits to the body and will be conducive to physique and full health.

🔹Relieves stress and anxiety: A tranquil state of mind brings down the stress hormones including cortisol to retain a calm, relaxed body.

🔹Better heart: Less stress means heart rate is steady and blood pressure remains regulated and in order, that is good news for the heart.

🔹Boosts immunity: Mental peace fortifies immunity because it helps the body to resist disease better.

🔹Improves sleep patterns: A relaxed mind means better quality sleep and it is an important element for recovering the body and mind.

🔹Eases tension and pain in the body: Mental stress leads to physical tension, muscle aches and headaches and a relaxed mind contributes to the physical pain as well.

🔹Aids in better digestion: With reduced mental stress the digestive system can work in sync providing relief to problems such as indigestion or bloating.

🔹Boosts energy: When the mind is not occupied with the thoughts of problem, the body starts to get rejuvenate all day long.

🔹Promotes good habits: Peace of mind promotes mindful living which is a precursor to good habits like eating healthy, exercising, and drinking enough water.

So mental peace does actually generate harmony in the mind, and the body does create a robust healthy wealthy and wise life.

It is a lot easier to achieve a state of mental peace, but these are just a few general steps on how you can do it.

🔹Prayer and spirituality: I get strong and inner peace by making time to connect with my almighty. So prayer can reduce our stress and anxiety and give mental peace.

🔹Practice Mindfulness: Whether it is meditation, deep breathing or even yoga, trying these mindfulness techniques can beat present-moment phobia. The aforementioned methods can be used to address the stress and anxiety of day to day life.

🔹Power of Positive Thinking: I stay away from negative people, toxic conversations and take breaks from social media when necessary. An upbeat attitude enhances human overall morale and even helps an individual cope with stress.

🔹Engage in Physical Activity: Go for a walk or run to drain some of that energy while also burning off the energy and releasing happy hormones, endorphins.

🔹Get Back To Nature: Spend time in the park/garden or a natural setting. Either of these, then, is wont to withdraw us from the turmoil of this busy world, since nature’s bounty leads to the stillness of the heart.

🔹Build Relationships: Create networks inclusive of family and friends for fellowship for companionship decreases loneliness, which in turn improves the way we feel emotionally.

🔹Self-care: Find things that restore you, eat well, get enough rest, be happy and take a break.

🔹Get Professional Help: If you are unable to find peace in your head, you should probably see a professional therapist or counselor. To help, self-care professionals are providing ways, means and tips for coping with stress.

🔹Engaging in Hobbies: Engaging in the things I like, such as drawing, reading, doing make up, or being surrounded by soft music, soothes my soul.

Cultivating these habits opens up a method to create of mental stagnancy and a play a part in enhancing the state of psychology thereby enhancing the quality of life.

In conclusion, Mental Peace is the basis of a healthy and happy life. Everything else falls into place when the mind is quiet. For that reason, I think that it’s important to protect our peace and cultivate it daily.

@aspiya I really enjoyed reading your post on mental peace. Your ideas are very clear and helpful. Prayer, nature, and hobbies are my favorite ways too. Thank you for sharing your experience it really gave me hope and motivation. Stay blessed!
