My Relationship With Sleep
Having a good relationship with sleep is very essential for our health and well-being, it helps us to stay focused and also helps the brain to relax and works perfectly.
Actually, due to the student lifestyle of a thing, after coming back from school, mostly late in the evening, you will then refresh and look for what to eat, work on assignments, if any, and study your books, before you go to bed.
Most times, this may be around 10 pm to 12 pm and even by 2 pm in most cases.
Then I will have to wake up by 4 am to start preparation for the day.
Meaning, that if I had slept from 10 pm to 4 am, that would be a total of 6 hours of sleep, well I will say it's not a normal sleeping hour.
Normal sleeping hours should be around 7 to 10 hours, especially for adults. So my sleeping hours are usually not enough, although it looks like I can't do anything about it.

Yeah, sure, I certainly do follow a sleep routine to maintain a quality sleep.
Most times I will take a short reading, to calm my mind, and slowly the sleep takes me away. It is good to go through some passages of good motivating books when you wake up the following day or will be as if you have gotten all the answers needed.
Meditating before sleeping, is also important, it relaxes the mind and your body, giving you a sound sleep.
If I'm certain that I want to sleep well that day, I always do away with my phone, to avoid distractions and make sure I sleep very well.
Well, mostly the disturbances I do get while sleeping are; noise, stress, late-night eating, etc.
Most of the time after experiencing a long and stressful day, sleeping will even be a problem, and there may be no food, I will now be roaming around to get something cooked to eat and sleep.
This will take the time I would have slept, and I will end up not having enough sleep.
The worst of all is getting noises while sleeping, it's a kind of nuisance that may likely keep you awake through the night, and I may end up pressing my phone till day breaks, even in the daytime while taking a nap, so might not be able to sleep comfortably if there are noises around.
Not having enough sleep can affect the body both physically and mentally, and may lead to health issues like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
When I'm deprived of getting enough sleep, I usually wake up with a severe headache like my head is banging, I look so tired and stressed, most times experiencing mood swings.
Throughout that day, may not be my actual self, but I will be able to focus well on my activities and even studying will be a problem for me.
The positive impact of having enough sleep helps to regulate emotional interactions, reduces stress helps the mind to relax, boosts learning and makes the brain think faster.
Whenever I'm opportune to have the normal hours of sleeping successfully, it's always a great joy for me, because I will wake up so strong, getting new ideas to start my day, and above that happiness is always the thing leading my way.
Having a good sleeping hour is like medicine to the body, it's capable of eliminating some health issues and boasting are emotional and social interactions.
Endeavor to take part here...
