RE: Life Is About Helping. III, Contributed by @Olawalium
Most people think helping others is for some selected few
This is perhaps a fallacy that is also a a way of closing their eyes and turning away from the responsibility. It is easy to ignore a problem that you think is not yours.
This really becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, not because it has to be that way but because people think that way. In the end the number of people helping others are few because others simply think that they don't have to, as it is a job for somebody else. When in reality, they are equally capable of helping as any other person.
I guess if most of us (don't even have to be all) were to make sure to at least think about helping others a lot could be solved. Mind you, I am just saying 'think about' and not actually doing it. The problem is that we don't even consider that we can help others because if we do, then a lot of that thinking can be translated into action.
Our thoughts birth actions and the mere fact that they allowed that thought, shows great intent. Once there is a hand to give, there is a hand to receive.
Totally love that.
Thanks as always for this. Much appreciated.
