The tale of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who was prepared to sacrifice his son Ismail to obey God, is remembered on Eid al-Adha. God intervened before the sacrifice could happen and provided a ram to sacrifice instead. This tale is seen as a potent representation of trust, faith, and obedience to God's purpose. Muslims who can afford it offer an animal as a symbolic sacrifice, typically a camel, goat, cow, or sheep. Qurbani is the name of this act. Wearing clean or new clothes, celebrating with loved ones, giving to charities, sharing meals and food with family and neighbors, praying in congregation (Eid prayer), and so on.

Today I spend my day with thanks to Allah who gives me more blessings without my efforts and with my tries. Early in the morning, I woke up to spend some time with my little world, my daughter, because she has her 1st Eid. After the freshness, I wore my clothes, ate some sweets, and prepared for Eid. Eid prayers were offered. I gave to given money to the children as an Eid gift. After all this, the meat was distributed and prepared meal. Take a break and thank Allah for all blessings.
