Introducing Steem Atlas, the world map powered by the Steem blockchain

Hello steemians from India,

I am proud to announce, as the Steem Atlas Ambassador for India, a new weekly contest.Initially I am starting with a contest for Indian Steemians, but from November onward I will add more countries.

Here is your chance to Pin and Win

India is a vast country famous for its diverse travel sites and places, each offering unique, natural, historical, and cultural attractions.

I am starting this weekly contest so you could map the places around us or that you have visited. You can post any place of your choice that you consider would attract public interest, for instance, travel destinations, unique markets, restaurants, malls, etc.

We have a diverse scenario in our country, surrounded by three oceans—the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean—having great beaches and the Himalayas in the north with countless travel destinations.

We have a number of tourist resorts, educational institutes, and religious centers of different castes and creeds in different states. We have great cultural centers, so what are you waiting for?

All are welcome! Just pick up your phone or camera and place your photos and description on the Steem Atlas. All your pins will help visitors from different cities and states: the tourists, shoppers, food lovers, students, and businesspersons. Your pinned places will provide support to travelers in your area with authentic information that will save them time and motivate them to travel.

Let me make it clear that your posts will work as a guide to your targeted audience rather than being your travel experience. In this way we are going to do something similar to Google Maps with additional information in a set format.

Steem Atlas posts are different from normal travel posts, as these are supposed to help the visitors. You can keep them in the category between Wikipedia and TripAdvisor that provides travel-related information with history and facts. Therefore, your post should have specific and real information in a set format with your self-taken photographs.

The Contest

Contest Title: Name of your place, City

Example: Red Fort, Delhi

All Indians or other Steemians who have visited India and have ideas about places with their own photographs can join.

The contest starts from now and will end once this post expires.

Reward:

1st Prize: 5 Steem
2nd Prize: 4 Steem
3rd Prize: 3 Steem
2 consolation prizes 1 Steem Each
Total Prizes: 14 Steem

Apart from these rewards you stand to win Booming Votes and other curators votes.

Although you can post directly on Steem Atlas, in the beginning I encourage you to post in this community and place your PIN address in your post.

If you check my post, you will not see the PIN because these codes are invisible, but once you have located and placed them in your post, your PIN will be embedded and visible in Steem Atlas.

So all you have to do is:

Write your post with a short title.
At least 400 words
Your own images (at least 6-10 of that particular place) Do not post multiple destinations or similar photos in a single post.
Tags: steem-atlas, type of place (for instance, tourist spot, religious, educational, or restaurant, or whatever your subject), city, and India tag.
Embed Pin
Paste your post link in the comment section.

Add @steem-atlas as a beneficiary (recommended but not mandatory).

Once you have reached to exact location of the destination place the pin, scroll down and enter the name of your post title, (Keep it short) copy the pin address and place it at the end in your post.

What disqualifies your post

If your pin is incorrect
AI or plagiarism or images which are not your own.

You can post any of these and many more which you feel attract visitors:

Market, Shop, Art Galleries, Tourist destinations, Restaurants, Beaches, Monuments, Museums, Outdoors, Resorts, Hotels, Corporate offices, Stadiums, colleges, Sports Centers, Famous Parks, Mosques, Temples, Churches, Gurudwaras, or whatever you feel might attract visitors.

Scroll down, copy pin code and paste it to embed it in your post

In this case your tags should be #steem-atlas #tourist-destination #delhi #india steemexclusive club if any

You can pin your location before making a post and paste it in your post or do it at the same time when writing your post. Once you have pasted the pin code and posted your article, the code will not be visible.
