01) Prepare Homemade Herbal Ketchup with Garlic. Share complete step by process. At the end share the handwritten username and date with Ketchup.(6)
INGREDIENTS
- Tomato 4 pieces
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Sugar 2 tbs
- Salt 1/3 tbs
- White vinager 1 tbs
- Chilli fleks 1 tbs
- Water 1 cup
METHOD
🍅I took 250g of fresh tomatoes and cleaned them properly. Then I cut them into thin pieces.
Because they can be cooked easily.
🍅Then I peeled the garlic. I cut the garlic into two so that it cooks quickly.
🍅Then I put the tomatoes in a pot with half a cup of water. At the same time, I added the garlic and turned the pot on the stove.
🍅Then within about 8 minutes the tomatoes became soft and the garlic also boiled.
🍅For this, I put the prepared tomatoes in a blender jar and blend them until they are smooth.
🍅 Then I strained it through a sieve to remove the seeds and tomato skin.
🍅Then I put the tomato puree in a pot and put it on low heat. Then I gradually added salt, red chili powder and sugar.
🍅Then I slowly added vinegar and stirred it gently so that it did not burn the bottom of the pot.
🍅Within 8 - 10 minutes, the mixture thickened and became a tasty homemade ketchup.
Now I let the first tomato and garlic ketchup I made cool down and put it in a sterilized bottle.
02).Did you face any difficulty in the preparation of the ketchup at home?
Actually, homemade tomato ketchup is a new experience for me. I have never tried it before. The reason I tried it with minimal quantity is because this is my first time.
But I am happy to say that I did not have to face any major difficulties. I think that if you have good patience and do not let the bottom of the pot burn, there will be no difficulties in this recipe.
03.)What do you say about the taste and freshness of the homemade ketchup which you have prepared as compared to the market ketchup?
When comparing this, if we talk about freshness, homemade ketchup is made from ripe tomatoes and natural ingredients without preservatives, so it tastes fresher. Market ketchup is usually more uniform in sweetness and flavor. Also, homemade ketchup is less artificial, while store-bought ketchup often has a too sweet or too vinegary taste.
Compared to market ketchup, homemade ketchup is healthier. It feels less processed and can be customized to personal taste. Even if we are reluctant to give ketchup to children, homemade ketchup can be given without any doubt.
