The diary game. A Day Amidst Orchards and Hard Work

in Hindwhale Community10 days ago

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

I am an early riser. I got up early in the morning and, straightaway after performing ablution, I went for prayer in the nearby mosque. As a number of people were already present and had started praying, I reached a little later than others. But fortunately for me, I was quick enough to take part in the full prayer along with the community.

Only after I was done with making supplications, I headed back towards my place and immediately got into some gardening work, where I cleaned the lawn of weeds and other unwanted growth. I also got involved in some other work. After I was done with gardening, I had to arrange boxes for apples, which are in demand these days as apple harvesting has begun. These boxes are to be supplied to different vendors and dealers from where the fruit is exported to other parts of the nation.

I couldn’t get much time to go on a walk, but I did some physical exercise at my place. I was already going to do some work at home today, and I anticipated a lot of hard work and sufficient calorie burning throughout the day.

Quickly after completing the gardening work, I searched for various items needed for the day in every corner of our house. Once I was done with all these tasks, I joined my parents and had breakfast with them, as they were already waiting for me to come and join them.

After finishing breakfast, I took my brother with me and went to our nearby orchard, where we had to check for any damaged apples. If found, we needed to remove them to start the harvesting process. When I reached the apple orchard, I realized there weren’t enough apples that had ripened to a red color. So we needed to wait for a few more days for the bulk of the crop to be harvested together.

Still, I didn’t return home empty-handed—I took a few boxes of apples with me. For that, I had to climb up the orchard with the apple boxes weighing around 15 kg and load them into my car. Afterward, I left for another orchard, but only after having my lunch. The entire time before lunch was spent in the orchard.

Later, I went along with my younger brother to our high-altitude orchard located at the top of a hill. There, we needed to carry all the necessary items either by hand or in a 4x4 vehicle. Today again, I called my maternal uncle and asked for his vehicle. He responded quickly and agreed, and it was only because of his car that I was able to complete so much work in one day, which otherwise could have taken more than a day.

I stayed there in the orchard on top of the hill, as we could enjoy the cool breeze blowing east to west in the evening. The aroma of apples made the place even more attractive, and one hardly wants to leave such a location. I thoroughly enjoyed my day out in these orchards.

Thankfully, the locality I live in is quite hardworking. Even steep slopes are occupied by apple trees, which our ancestors or parents have planted. They have truly shown the world that barren land can be made fertile and productive.

Later in the day, I took a nap and refreshed myself. I regained some energy. By evening, around 8:30 PM, I returned home. Without talking much, I had to take a shower. That happened sometime later, around 11:30 PM. I was quite exhausted and couldn’t do anything more. I went straight to my room to relax. Around 11:30 PM, I had my dinner, and shortly after that, I retired to bed and called it a day.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
