The Diary game. A Graceful Farewell and Family Traditions

in Hindwhale Community2 months ago

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

As the festive season is on at my home, my brother has been gracefully married, and now the pleasant environment at our place has become even more joyful with the presence of my grandmother and a few other relatives. The day starts very early when the elders get up and begin the morning prayers, and I also wake up very early because I have some other responsibilities that compel me to start my day early. Some things that needed to be done before the marriage couldn’t be completed and now have to be accomplished after the marriage ceremonies are over—like repairing a few glass panes, etc.

As I got up very early in the morning, after offering the morning prayers and expressing gratitude to the Almighty for everything I’ve been blessed with, I went straight to the lawn where I had planted some special grass. During the marriage ceremony, the whole lawn area had been covered, and as a result, the grass had turned a little pale, with some patches even drying up because it remained covered for more than a week. At present, I had important work—watering the grass and adding some fertilizer—and I couldn’t wait any longer, so I did the needful to help the grass recover and come back to life. The rat holes and the depressions in the lawn were quite visible, and now all I can do is wait for the grass to grow, after which I can add some sand to those areas to make the lawn look uniform all around.

Today, we had another function where we had to visit our sister-in-law’s home, as she had gone there just after the marriage as part of our tradition and culture. Now, we needed to go there as a family and formally bring her back to our place, which also marks the end of the marriage ceremonies here in the valley of Kashmir. I also had to make arrangements and preparations for the visit, and for that, I needed to go to the local market to buy various items that we needed to take with us to their place.

Meanwhile, we spent a good amount of time at our sister-in-law’s house. We stayed there for more than two hours, had long chats, and interacted with the people around. They arranged some meals for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was quite delicious and tasty, served with love and affection, and it truly tasted great.

Later in the day, I returned home at night. I had to arrange some suits for one of the companions who had come along with the bride, as she was to be sent back to our place as part of our culture and tradition. I needed to prepare some suits for her, which required bringing some high-quality and expensive fabric. After returning home, I had some tea and then went to my room to get some relief from the tiredness I was feeling.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
