The diary game. My friends wedding and my official work.
I was going to get up very early in the day as I am an early bird and prefer to rise early so as to maximise my working hours. Being a working professional, I need to complete some tasks at home early in the day and reach my office without any backlog. I got up early, purified myself for the morning prayer, and went straight to the nearby mosque for prayers in congregation with other gentlemen of the community, who had already arrived and were about to begin the prayer. After spending some peaceful time there, I submitted a few applications and then headed back home to begin my gardening work.
As I am quite enthusiastic about maintaining a neat and beautiful place, I usually do some gardening early in the day—like watering the lawn, checking for any weeds that might have grown, and placing different plants at their appropriate spots, as some need shade while others need sunlight. Once I was done with the work, I headed towards the orchard for a morning walk. This morning walk serves two purposes: I get a chance to burn some extra calories, and I also get to take a cursory look at the apples we grow.
These days, going to the orchard is quite a pleasing experience as the aroma of ripening apples attracts me and hardly lets me leave. It’s only due to the compulsion of official responsibilities that I return home. After getting home, I joined my parents who were waiting in the dining room for breakfast. Soon after having my breakfast, I left for the office. Since I have been transferred to the district headquarters, which is quite a distance from my home, I need to set off early.
Upon reaching the office, I quickly immersed myself in my routine work. As we have been given the responsibility of digitising the revenue records of our state, I needed the assistance of one of the revenue officials, who was already there. Together, we were able to accomplish the target we had set for the day.
At around 3 PM, I left with one of my colleagues. On our way back, my colleague needed to buy some clothing items for his friend, so we went to a nearby shopping complex, purchased the required items, and then headed home.
Today, I was invited by my friend to his marriage party, which is going to be held tomorrow. Tonight, we would be celebrating Mehndi Raat, which is usually held a day before the wedding, according to our tradition. I had to be there, so I quickly reached home and got ready to go to my friend’s place. It was quite a special event where all the relatives sat around the groom, sang songs, and congratulated him. We stayed there with him, enjoyed the moments, and cherished everything we shared.
