The Best Sunday Ever
Bless this day oh Lord.
Today has been the best Sunday ever! Everything about it was just perfect—from the church service to the meal at home. My heart is full of joy, and I can't stop smiling. My pastor made this Sunday feel like a true celebration of life, love, and God’s blessings. He went above and beyond to make everyone in the church feel happy and uplifted. His message was powerful, his prayers were full of fire, and his words carried hope and healing. You could see it in everyone’s faces—smiles, tears of joy, and people singing and clapping like their spirits were flying. It felt like heaven came down to meet us.
The congregation was full. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the church that packed in a long time. Everywhere you looked, there were people—young, old, families, children—everyone came out in their best clothes, ready to worship. There was a special glow in the atmosphere that only God could bring. People were in high spirits, and you could tell the Holy Spirit was moving through the room.

Our choir truly outdid themselves today. They were on fire! The choirmasters led with so much passion and energy, it lifted us off our feet. The drummers brought the beats that shook the walls—in the best way! I have to give it to them, especially for those two songs that got everyone dancing and praising: “Tamuno Eh” and “Too Many Reasons.” As soon as the drums kicked in for Tamuno Eh, the whole church erupted. People were dancing, waving their handkerchiefs, shouting with joy. That song reminds us that God never fails us, no matter what. And Too Many Reasons made us all reflect on how much we have to be grateful for. I danced until my legs got tired, but I didn’t want to stop. It was joy overflowing.

After church, we went home with so much happiness in our hearts. At home, my step-sister was already in the kitchen, preparing something special for us. She made a delicious pot of rice and stew, using fresh tomatoes, goat meat, and fish. The aroma filled the whole house, and my stomach was already rumbling before the food even finished cooking. I have so much love for my step-sister. She's truly one of my biggest supporters, my day-one, always looking out for me. She’s more than a sister—she’s like a second mother and a best friend rolled into one.

While she was cooking, my kid brother sat in front of the television, watching his favorite show about toys and cartoons. He was completely glued to the screen, laughing and pointing at the TV like the characters were talking to him. It was such a peaceful and joyful moment—one of those simple scenes that make you feel truly blessed. The house was filled with the smell of food, the sound of cartoons, and the calm peace that comes from knowing you're with people who love you.

Days like this remind me why I’m grateful for my family, my church, and God’s love. This Sunday will stay in my heart for a long time. From the church service to the family meal, everything felt special. My pastor gave us spiritual food, and my sister gave us physical food. My little brother gave us smiles. I feel surrounded by love, laughter, and joy. Truly, today is the best Sunday ever.
