Festival Diwali
Hello my friends,
***This is my participation in the Hindwhale community and dedicated to @jyoti-thelight

Our country has approximately 1.45 billion citizens, including followers of all religions: Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, and Buddhists. Hindus also celebrate a variety of festivals, embodying unity in diversity. Holi and Diwali, the two major Hindu festivals, are widely celebrated. These two festivals are so revered that they are celebrated by people of other religions, including Hindus.
On October 20th, most Hindus in my country celebrated Diwali (Deepawali). This festival is celebrated with great pomp and show, including wearing new clothes, lighting lamps, lighting lamps, decorating homes, cleaning, worshipping Ganesha and Lakshmi, and bursting firecrackers and sparkle
According to our history, it is believed that on Diwali, King Ram of Ayodhya returned after fourteen years of exile. The hearts of the people of Ayodhya [a place in our country] were filled with joy at the arrival of their beloved king. They lit ghee lamps to welcome Shri Ram. The dark, new moon night of Kartik month was illuminated with the light of the lamps.
Diwali, the festival of lights, symbolizes the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. On this day, lamps are lit not only to decorate homes but also to convey a profound truth of life – when the darkness within is dispelled by the light of God.
I also celebrated this Diwali with my entire family and I am sharing some pictures of it here.
To celebrate this festival, we started cleaning the house several days in advance. We found old clothes, completely useless items, and garbage and threw them out. New sheets were hung in every room, and new clothes were spread on the beds. The house was made very beautiful by buying sweets, fruits, flower garlands from the market and by putting up colourful lights.
And then at 7.40 in the evening, everyone sat in the temple inside their house wearing new clothes and performed puja, aarti and took prasad of God, and then lit lamps in every corner and burst crackers.
With lots of love and respect,
Sur-riti❤️
